It's nice to feel the air getting warmer, and I'm glad I got out of Budehuc for a bit. Maybe wandering's just in my blood, but it was nice to stretch my legs.

Well, I wanted a vacation and that's definitely what I've gotten. I've been holed up in the inn for the better part of the last week with a horrible bug. Getting sick is definitely not something I'm used to, I'm not even sure how I could have gotten it. Though traipsing around in the snow for a week after living in Falena for a year probably didn't help...

I'm afraid I haven't kept up with a whole lot of what's going on around here; it's got me worried. I feel even worse knowing there's nothing I can do to help. The best I can do is reiterate that I have faith in my companion's strengths. Good always seems to prevail, it's funny how people forget that! Of course, if things keep progressing, you can count on me to stand up with everyone ... even if I have to sniffle through it all.

I just hope I'm better in time for the tournament ... I may not be participating but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss it.

Hmm. Well, this certainly isn't Falena! I'm almost certain I stopped outside Estrise for the night, what gives? All this snow and wide open space? I mean, I haven't seen this much snow since I was up in the Grasslands!

Come to think of it ... Am I in the Grasslands?

Don't tell me I slept through my journey! I wasn't even done packing. And I was planning on going to that new inn on the edge of town before I left! The chef there had promised to whip me up something after I tore through his pastries. I thought I deserved at least one little post-war treat. Or five.

Oh well, I guess I was planning on heading north, anyway. But if this is the Grasslands, then I overshot Tinto by quite a spread. What sort of magic sent me all the way up here? Something else seems off, too. I was only here a few years ago, but it just seems ... different. It's got me a little worried. If I really am this far north, though, I won't have to worry about keeping a low profile. I mean, I'm sure they've only just recently caught wind of Arshtat marrying a foreigner. I shouldn't have to worry about them knowing about the war quite yet.
